Glenn Wolverton got a nice surprise from some of his buddies not too long ago. They had, without Wolverton's knowledge, entered him into a New Jersey area BBQ cooking contest. Wolverton found out about it only a day before the competition was to take place. Turned out his buddies knew a good thing when they saw it. Wolverton took first place in the competition and went on to win another competition. He won the first competition making BBQ pork sandwiches with homemade baked beans and took the top prize in another contest with his "beer-can chickens." "Everywhere I go, people are impressed with the grill. They are impressed by the variety of food it cooks so well and how easy it is to clean up," said Wolverton. "I am so proud of the grill, it makes my job easier. I just put on the food, shut the lid and wait for the fantastic results." That's a sentiment I"ve heard time and time again.
