December recipe of the month

A good steak always starts with a good piece of beef. Select your favorite cut, rub it down with olive oil and ground some fresh black pepper on each side.

Tired of turkey and ham after Thanksgiving? You know there's more coming the closer we get to Christmas. Treat yourself in the days leading up to the holiday and try this delicious sirloin!

If you're in the mood for beef you've got to try this simple, but out-of-this world skillet-seared, Holland-grilled sirloin steak. (It's hard to think about writing this article while remembering how juicy and good that steak was).
Keep in mind that a good steak starts with a good piece of meat. Go to your butcher or at least the deli at your favorite grocer and select a choice cut of beef. Make sure it's at least an inch thick--thicker if you like. You can't grill a juicer steak than one that has been grilled on a Holland Grill. But, if you want to add a little zip to it, "sear" it first in a very hot iron skillet. If you don't have an iron skillet, ask your mom or granny. It should be well-seasoned. This dish tastes even better when you're home alone--that way, no one will ask you for a bite!
