Grill those summer veggies!

Get the most out of those great summer vegetables by grilling them on your Holland Grill. Mother Nature never tasted so good!

There's lots to love about summertime. One of my favorite things is summer garden-fresh vegetables. Read here how you can easily make a wonderful side dish to any meal with your Holland Grill.

One of the greatest things about summer is when its time to pick those fresh garden-grown vegetables. Even if you're a city dweller, you no doubt have friends or relatives who share their bountiful harvest with you, loading you up with zucchinis, squash, tomatoes, onions and other nature-made delights. If you've never grilled vegetables on your Holland Grill, you've got to start doing it. If you don't own a Holland Grill, go out an buy one. It will be worth it just for these great grilled veggies.

First, cut up your favorites into large "chunks" and place them in a bowl. (I like squash, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, red onions and green peppers.) Pour a little cooking or olive oil over the veggies and shake on Holland's Carolina Seasoning. Toss the vegetables around in the bowl until they are well coated. Using tongs, place the seasoned vegetables directly on the preheated grill surface. (No need to use foil or a pan. The small diamond-shaped grid pattern prevents small pieces from falling through). Close the lid and wait about 10 minutes. Open the lid and again using your tongs, toss the veggies around a bit, (much like you would a stir-fry) and grill for about 5 more minutes or so. That's all there is too it. You'll be amazed at how even the kids will eat them up.
