Springfieldbob, I agree that Sam was a bit out of line, but your post was very hard to understand. Do both. Marinate it overnight for flavor before putting on the grill, then brush a little on at the end for the coating. Hope this helps. |

Check to see if it contains sugar. If so, you have to be careful that it doesn't burn on the grill. Sugar burns easily and leaves a black char. Generally, when I use any BBQ sauce containing sugar, I never apply it to the food until after I remove the food, or perhaps no more than 5 to 10 minutes before I take it off the grill. This latter approach allows it to carmalize on the food, but not burn. Putting it on too early will almost surely result in burned sauce. |
