I am grilling a pork tenderloin tonight on my Maverick, and I am not sure how long to grill each side. The Maverick only gets 400 degrees f, so i was thinking 15-20 mins each side? Any suggestions? Thanks, Wray T |

wrap in bacon and grill for 50 mins. Flip halfway through grilling time if you want to. |

depends on size no need to turn use temp probe and cook to 163 |

For thick cuts of meat, the temperature probe is the way to go. Foolproof. Just remember to stick it in halfway, not less nor more. |

Definitely do not want to start a rukus here but I personally feel (operative word is I) that waiting until the internal temp reads 163 is too high for this very lean cut of meat. If you want a finished product with and internal temp of 163 you most likely want to take it off the grill when it remote read thermometer reads between 153-158 deg. FYI the doneness criteria for pork changed about a year ago. "New cooking guidelines from the nation's food-safety agency confirm Pork Checkoff research that shows pork can be consumed safely when cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit, followed by a three-minute rest time. The guidelines were announced today by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS). |
