Ham a la Holland

Hams grilled on The Holland are absolutely delicious! Try this simple recipe for your next Holiday Ham.

Whole bone-in ham (precooked or ready-to-cook)
6 oz Ginger Ale
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
20 oz can crushed pineapple
aluminum roasting pan
Place ham in pan and pour Ginger Ale over the ham. While ham is still moist from the soda, drain the pineapple juice onto the meat; Rub a thick layer of brown sugar over the ham and pat it in place to form a crust. Sprinkle the pineapple chunks over the sugar. Cover with a foil tent.

Place a reeady-to-cook ham on your Holland Grill for about 20 minutes per pound. The internal temperature must reach at least 170 degrees F.
For a pre-cooked ham, just heat until meat is warm with internal meat temperature reaching about 140 degrees and the brown sugar crust is golden brown.

NOTE: For reference, a three-pound ham takes about two hours to cook.
