Stuffed Green Peppers

When the summer garden vegetables start rolling in, we've got a few good ideas of what to do with them on the Holland Grill. Here's an excellent recipe for Stuffed Green Peppers using our Veggie Roastin' Rack.

6 green bell peppers
1/2 lb hamburger
1/2 lb sausage
1/2 cup white rice
1/2 cup water
1 large tomato, diced
1/2 onion, diced
Holland Mediterranean Greek Pepper
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 banana peppers, diced
1 tsp Soy Sauce

Serving Information

Combine hamburger and sausage and onions in skillet; brown meat thoroughly and drain off excess grease. Season meat to taste with our Mediterranean Greek Pepper.

Add uncooked rice, water, diced banana peppers, soy sauce and diced tomoatoes to skillet; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until rice is soft.

Cut the tops off the green peppers and scoop out seeds. Fill peppers with meat mixture and place peppers in the larger holes of the Veggie Roastin' Rack (BHA4002). Grill for about 10 minutes; add mounds of shredded cheese to stuffed peppers and grill for 2-3 more minutes until cheese is melted. Awesome summer meal, straight from the garden!
