I have 2 Holland Grills. One has started to leave a blackish film on chicken and sausages. Whats going on?

Clean your drip pan. I noticed on my Companion when I get too much build-up of grease it splatters up onto my food. I do not notice it as much with my Heritage but the drip pan is farther away from the food than on the Companion.
You want to leave a little on the drip pan for seasoning though.

I have started to have this problem as well. My drip pan is clean (but starting to rust away). I am thinking that this may be a propane problem. I am getting this black film on the meat as well as the inside of the grill. Does anyone have any sugestions?

@ people!

There is a "TROUBLE_SHOOTING" section on this web-site under "SUPPORT".
One of the titles is "BLACK SOOT ON MY FOOD". CLEAN OUT YOUR BURNER & READJUST YOUR AIR_SHUTTER to BLUE FLAME WITH YELLOW TIPS.
The 2nd entry on this thread told you what to do to correct the problem.

Thanks @ people! After looking at this forum a little more closely I saw that someone said this earlier. Anyways, I did what it said and now I have a perfectly working grill again! Thanks!

You also need to clean the underneath side of the steel plate over the burner. When I had this problem, I looked under the plate, and there were soot formations hanging like stalactites. Get rid of that b4 you cook again.
