I'm still trying to decide on buying a Searmate and have a couple of questions. How big is the cooking grid? I've looked everywhere and can't find this info. For instance, how many burgers can I cook at one time? Ribeyes?

@ Skip

My SearMate cooking grid is about 10" x 13 3/4".

Hope this helps.

Skip, the actual cooking surface is small but it's not intended for the entire dinner. Just a couple of steaks at a time then move them over to the main grill. I would NOT try burgers on the searmate, they'll turn into jerky instantly!!! As the name implies, it extremely high temp, 900-1000F. This is for steaks and seafood! I've had mine for about 3 years now and it's the perfect accessorie to the Holland! No regrets.

Try grilling your burgers first on the Holland and then finish them off with a nice sear, minute or so on each side. That won't overcook them. Works pretty good on chicken breastsand pork chops too. Thin chops you can cook entirely on the searer.
