OK with a lot of thought and research via this very blog -this long-time conventional griller acquired a Holland Maverick. Started out easy with Hot Dogs, Brats and fench fries for the first time. Outstanding results! Fantastic flavor and very juicy dogs/brats. Can't wait to get out of work ( why am I working when I could be busy cooking "not looking"?) and try some more items.

Hey Bobbie Q,
Welcome to the club. Try a whole chicken. Rub with olive oil, sprinkle with your favorite seasoning & place in the middle of the cooking surface. Use a meat thermometer to get the breast area to 160-170 degrees & take it off.
So simple, but so good.

Thanks! I actually cooked a cut-up seasoned chicken last night -absolutely the best chicken I've ever grilled -moist and golden brown. This grill is just incredible. Before this, I thought that the "Hollanders" were a little cult -like crazy about their grills - but now that I drank the koolaid or rather tasted the chicken - I BELIEVE. WOW!
