I own the Thermo/timer probe and love using it with my Epic grill. The instructions say not to use it in a conventional oven. Honestly I don't see how it could hurt. Has anyone used it in their conventional oven and did it work properly? Were there problems/issues? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Tim,
The only problem with using it in an oven is the possibility that the cable will get kinked & damaged in the door. If your oven has a flexible rubber seal around the door so it doesn't damage the cable, it should work fine. I have used it this way a few times when the weather did not permit cooking on my Holland.

Thanks for the information. I thought it might work as well. :-)
