I have used the themometer about 5 times so far, but now I get a HHH reading in the Tempeture section. The cooking tempeture and timer seem to be working ok but don't know what the HHH means.

@ Larry

Your probe may be bad. Call Holland for help.

Anybody that owns the "Thermo-timer" as it is called needs to know not to get the probe or wire wet. This will short it out.

I just bought the thermometer now how do i use it for cooking?

Larger pieces of meat need to be cooked to specific internal temperatures to be considered done to your liking.
When you put a roast, tenderloin, turkey, etc on the grill, insert the tip of the probe on the thermometer into the center of the thickest part, put the readout unit on the shelf outside the grill & cook until you have the appropriate internal temp.
Saves lots of guessing about whether your meat is done or not.

That may be why my probe is not working after someone put it in the dishwasher. temp starts at 220 and goes down as it gets hotter.
