Geoff

I am a new owner of a Holland Grill and love it so far. I'm excited to try it with many different types and cuts of meats.

I am considering buying the rib rack. Does it cook the ribs the same as flat on the grill top? Is it a purchase that people would recommend? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Geoff,
The rib rack lets you put more racks on the grill because they stand on edge instead of flat. Also I find that if I put the thicker edge of the ribs down, they cook more evenly in the rack.
Try this with water or apple juice in the drip pan to extend cooking times for additional tenderness. I keep adding liquid as it boils out until they are 95% done, then let the drip pan run dry so the temp rises & browns the meat in the last few minutes.

Put in some hickory chips for smoke and you are all set. Cook low and slow.....
