Topic Title: Crispy Skin

Hi all, have to say I simply love my holland grill purchased a few months ago. The only thing we are not happy with is when cooking chicken (pieces) the skin does not crisp up as with other methods of grilling. My wife thought maybe leaving the cover open for awhile at the end but not sure if there would be enough heat for open grill. Any ideas?

I always cook chicken pieces with skin on & I get very crispy skin. I spray the pieces with "I can't believe it's not butter" spray & sprinkle a little Carolina seasoning on then put on the grill. I do preheat the grill to 400+ beforeI put the chicken on. Do not open the lid except to turn the pieces once. The more heat the better for brown crispy skin.
Hope this helps.
