Has anyone tried making salmon steak or filets on the grill. I have a fresh salmon that I filet out and am wondering how to coook it on the Holland. Thanks in advance for the info.

I'm making salmon tonight. Make it often. My favorite way is to marinade the salmon in teriyaki sauce all day long and throw it on the grill. I cook mine about 15 minutes a side. It's hard to overcook. A friend of mine that lived in Alaska for 20 years gave me this way of cooking it.

Here you go,

Coat the filet in a little olive oil and pepper,
then sprinkle on some grated orange rind,
some freshly grated ginger,
and then coat the top with brown sugar,
let sit in the fridge for a while,
and grill for 19 min.
I cook this whenever I have guests over, especially ones who say they don't like fish. I have yet to wash a plate.

orange zest not orange rind.

I grilled fresh salmon last week with a recipe I got from my mom's dialysis husband thinks I should open a restaurant with this...

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 clove garlic minced
1/8 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon chives
1 teaspoon pepper

combine all ingredients and marinate your salmon ...I did mine for 6 hours. Cook on pre heated grill for 15 need to turn.. I served it with grilled vegetables...there wasn't any leftovers and there are only two of us! Hope you enjoy it anyway you cook it.
