Has anyone had problems with the outside of the cover shattering in cold weather? The only thing that keeps it together is the soft inner lining it is glued to.

The company will sell me a new one, but I don't want the same problem. Is there a difference in material between the short cover and the full length cover?

The cover is vinyl & gets stiff when cold. I spray mine with Armorall when new to soften it up & reduce the chance of cracking, just like the dash on my car. Also the Armorall is silicone based & will leave a slick surface which tends to repel water better & makes it harder for ice/snow to form on the surface.
You need to do this 3-4 times a year. My previous cover was 6 years old & was just starting to deteriorate at the seams. Hope this helps.

Thank you BigGuy...I'll give that a shot.
