Topic Title: Wireless themometer

Hi all,
Just did my maiden voyage with my new Apex and Searmate. I did hot Italian Sausage with Caroline season potatoes (in the recipe part). I cooked the potatoes as discribed and they were great. The problem was that I seared the sausage a couple of minutes on each side then put them on top of the potatoes with the Holland wireless themometer inserted in the fatest sausage. Set for pork 170 degrees. I was watching rhe temp and it got to a 142 degrees and a code HH came on and it started beeping. I assumed it was done, but it wasn't. Whew finally to the question. What does HH mean and why didn't it let the temp get to 170?

The HHH reading is likely a result of the probe losing contact with the base unit. You probably jiggled it around at some point just enough to momentarily break contact. Check to make sure the probe plug is seated well into the base unit. Also don't get the probe cable wet or run it through the dishwasher. Just clean it by wiping with a damp cloth.

Thanks for the repy. I wasn;t near the probe at the time, so I don't think it came loose from the base unit. I'll check double the next time to make sure it's connected. Since you say the code means it's not connected, if it persists I'll contact Holland for a new one.
