When using a Digital Thermometer will the lid pinch the sensor hose to the thermometer?

Hey Dan - no, I have been using the digital thermometer for over 3 years and have not had a problem. Best little creation - set it and walk away.

Margaret and Tom

We use out digital thermometer almost every time we cook on our Holland and have not had any issues. Been using it for over a year now.

Thank you for the info

Just close the lid gently on the probe wire & you shouldn't have any problems.
For you & other folks, one thing you do not want to do is get the wire wet. You can clean the probe part by hand, but do not wash the wire or put it in the dishwasher. This apparently can cause the wire to fail.

Hey, another tip. When it's too cold to grill outside, you can use the thermometer in your own oven. Our electric oven door has a spongy type gasket around the inside of the door and the wire is so thin that the gasket forms a natural seal arond the wire. It works great.
