I have pins with chains connected to them with little holders on each side, outside the cooking surface, in front, what are they for? companion

@ Miz

No idea! Picture?

If it was a full size grill, I would say you are talking about the "lighting clip & chain". Used to hold a match to light the grill.
The Little Companion doesn't have this, so not sure what they are.

there is no holes or anything in pin, just a knurled head and pin on chain, maybe someone added for a lid opener, to hold in one position? Thanks

@ Miz

Definately not part of the original grill. I assume that you bought it used & are not able to ask the original owner.
BTW... That looks like the early MG-1 Companion that was discontinued in 2004. The current Companions have folding legs.
If you ever find out what the pins were for, let us know.

I think we figured it out?? We think it is to hold the unit in place, pins fit perfect in the holes in the bottom of the legs, either to hold into dirt/grass or on a picnic table, keep it from sliding or moving. ?????? yes, used a little bit, can you add the folding legs to this unit? thanks a bunch

@ Mitz

Sounds reasonable. No, the folding legs are not retro-fittable to the older model. Sorry
