I have been given my Dad's Classic. It's in great shape, but I find the system for lighting kind of hard. Reminds me of when I was a newly wed and had to lite the gas stove because it was too old to have a pilot light. Is there any kind of conversion kit that one could buy to change this lighting system over to something that works easier?

Hi Janis,
Your old Classic is a great grill model that was discontinued about 11 years ago. There is no practical way to add the electronic igniter from the later model grills.
I hope you are using a butane fireplace lighter with the long snout. Just get your lighter flame next to the burner, then turn the grill gas valve on. DON'T turn the gas valve on then stick the lighter in, you can lose some eyebrows that way.
