Well just got sprung that the mother in-law wants me to bring a brisket. Well now when to cook it. Should I do Saturday morning and just refrigerate it and reheat Sunday after church or try to time it and cook it over night and let it rest in a cooler while at church. Any ideas

Wish I had seen this sooner. Because I think food tastes better right off the grill, I'd probably have gotten up early and cooked it, wrapped in foil and let the folks eat up right after church.

Although I have to admit, I've cooked ribs and put half a rack in the fridge over night and then just microwaved them for a couple minutes the next day and they were almost, almost, as good as when they came off the Holland.
