I'm interested in buying a Holland, especially as I read all the great things you all are writing. But, I'm worried about the grill size...I have a family of 5 and I'm wondering if the grill is big enough for feeding that many people. Can anyone help with this dillema?

Dave

Holland has a half grid available gives you more cooking room I have one and cooked a 3 lb. meatloaf a 5 lb pork loin on the main surface and 12 large baked potatoes on the half grid all at one time. hope that answers your question.

Bill

Thanks Dave - not to sound like an idiot, but how does it fit in/on?

Bill

Dave - I am an idiot. I looked on the website and found the half grill. GREAT idea. Thank you! I think that sealed the deal.

Dave

glad to help, I don't think your an idiot though Idiots don't ask questions. Don't forget to check out the recipes on this web site and happy grilling

Bill,
I think you're gonna be fine. one of my family's new faves is a fresh young half turkey, avg about 5 lbs. we can easily fit two of them if we're hungry or we always want leftovers. you never had a more juicy, sweet tasting succulent bird in your life. I kid you not. I just got home from whole foods with one and put my own 12 ingredient dry rub on there to marinate overnight. however most days it's really just rub and roast and its amazing. I get 1:45 - 2:00 and put a thermometer in one thigh to be sure and get 175f and then let it set for half an hour.
Anyway my friend you'll have no trouble feeding a hungry 5
