Duster

Anyone attempted boiling a kettle of water on the Searmate? If so, I would be very interested in level of success and other details such as duration, volume of water, etc.

I am looking to do a few things such as a second area for my pressure canner and boil sweetcorn (yes I know I can grill it very well but still like it better boiled).

Holland Grill reps...I understand this is not it's intended purpose and realize there are dangers of doing so (too heavy for support, leaving searmate unattended, etc) but will be attempting it anyway and hoping someone on here can give me a boost of confidence or hints to use when I do try.

Thanks!

I'd be careful attempting that - though I may be too late with the warning. Getting water on the red hot ceramic could damage it.
