i have a new vintage and i am running it for the 30 minutes to season. Should it be getting up to 500 degrees or so during this process


Andy, I would say that this is OK for a new HOLLAND without any food. The temp. will settle down once you have used the grill several times. You will get some build up on the drip tray, which will lower the temp. I would be more concerned, if a new HOLLAND only got to 400 degrees when first used,
