Topic Title: Great Peach Recipe
Created on August 15, 2008 at 12:09 PM

This recipe idea is from one of my fellow demonstrators.
Since peaches are in season, I wanted to share it. I make these at least once a week. They are so easy and delicious - thanks Pete !

Pete's Peaches

4 ripe peaches, halved, peeled, and pitted
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg - grate it fresh, it's
worth the effort.
Vanilla ice cream

Lay peaches in a single layer on a large sheet of foil. Sprinkle with sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Fold foil to form a packet. Place on preheated grill for 25 to 30 minutes. To serve place 2 peach halves per person in dessert dishes. Top with ice cream and drizzle some of the juicy syrup from the bottom of the packet over the top. Enjoy ! I usually put the packet on the grill right after I remove whatever we are having for dinner and the peaches are done in time for dessert.
