Hawkeye Griller

I've had some great frozen pizzas done on my grill -
the self rising crusts come out great - wondering if there are any scratch recipes for pizza out there.

Pizza from scratch, first you need a pizza stone. I make my crust using Betty Crocker just add water mix, I knead the dough with flour let it rise for about 15 minutes then roll out place it on the stone. Don't pre-heat the grill. Place the stone on your Holland then turn on. Bake 10-15 minutes. Remove from grill and add your ingredients. Place back on the grill and cook about 20 minutes.

We do pizza without a stone, right on the grate. We brush it with olive oil let it start to firm up. Brush with olive oil, flip it after about 5-7 minutes. Then add sauce, all the toppings and let it bake for about 10 mire minutes. We normally do a party and grill up several. Works great!

I want to cook a Digornos but the temp. required with the directions is higher than my Holland will (or should) go. How long do you cook it?

I cook those Digorno self-rising pizzas all the time. They're delicious!. Leave it on there (no pan) for about 20-25 minutes.....the crust gets a little crispy. I use some hickory wood chips.....man, is it good!
