Can I use a "generic" converter hose to change my companion grill from 1lb to 20lb propane bottle or do I have to use the Holland one? I am going camping tomorrow and can't find the Holland converter hose in stock at any local dealer. Can anyone give me a little advice?

I can not tell you 100% that the hose that you have will fit on the Companion. The worst case is that the end that connects to the Companion will not fit. If it does screw on to the nozzle, the size of all the fittings are a regulated industry standard. I don't have a Companion, but if the 1 pound propane tank connects directly to the grill, then any generic one should work.

GRILL.

Arthur,

If you are lokking for a Companion regulator, you can order it on this site.

Lorreta,
In spite of what others say, some non-Holland coversion hoses are not compatible with the Companion regulator. Be sure you take a couple of 1 lb bottles with you just in case.
