New to the blog. been using a SS Legacy since 02'.I'm sure this has been done already, but thought I'd throw it out there. I found some oak barrel staves that were used to age red wine at a local cooking supply store. They came packaged in 3/4"x3/4"x12" bundles with about 12 pieces per. I use these mainly for pork, but works well with poultry also. I use one piece of wood per cook cut in half. place one half at the top of the drip pan in front and the other half at top of drip pan in back. The added sweet smokey flavor to the meat is absolutely delicious. works great with your BBQ sauce. Enjoy. KW

Also,Holland now carries Jack Daniels smoking pellets that are made from the oak barrels that the whisky was aged in. I like them very much. They certainly smell great during cooking.
