The Hochstetlers

Has anyone tried bison (buffalo) on the Holland grill? Hubby is going hunting and is planning to bring back one!

Think wrapped in bacon.

Do not over cook...medium is Well-done on Bison. Less fat tan fish! Healthy!

How did the bison cook? I cooked bison burgers tonight.
15 min on each side and they were good. Healthy food...less fat than salmon...

The Hochstetlers

The hunting trip is a few weeks away but we appreciate the suggestions. We'll post how they turned out!

Hunting buffalo? Did I read that right?

here is a recipe from the new holland cookbook available soon- it was originally written for elk but should do fine with Buffalo- 3-5 lb. roast- 3 or 4 cloves garlic- 1 Tbs. dried rosemary - 1 Tbs. Holland Grill's Greek Seasoning- 1/4 cup butter- 3 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce---With an ice pick poke a couple of dozen holes in the roast - make 12 slits and put in pieces of garlic. Rub the roast with rosemary and Greek Seasoning. Melt butter and add Wors. sauce. Place roast in a pan, baste with butter. Preheat Holland grill allowing the roast to marinate. Grill for about an hour or more (depends on size of roast) basting with butter every 15020 minutes- We did this with a big horn sheep roast- we did add meat tenderizer to the meat too-- it came out GREAT
